5 amazing sites where you can build your coding knowledge!

5 Amazing sites to build your coding knowledge!

Hey guys, today I'm going to be making a different style blog, instead of the usual code tutorial or show-off ill be recommending some great sites to build your programming/coding knowledge on! When learning to code keeping your skills fresh is a must so these sites should help you out with that! And without further ado let's hop in, enjoy!

1. HackerRank

HackerRank Is by far my most used site when it comes to testing out my skills and improving them too! I mainly use it for python but the site offers tests, certifications, and challenges for all types of languages. The site also acts as a freelancing platform where you can work and hire other developers to complete tasks.

Score: 10/10

2. GeeksforGeeks

GeeksforGeeks is a huge site with many tutorials, and 10+ languages to choose from. And much like HackerRank, the sites allow users to post and buy services from developers. The site is so vast and hard to put into one small paragraph with all its resources. So just go check it out lol!

Score: 10/10

Much like Hackerrank, Codebyte allows users to solve serval coding challenges from 10 different programming languages. The challenges go from easy to hard and over all a great site to learn on! And as a plus, they also have a collection of algorithm tutorials, introductory videos, and interview preparation courses. This in my opinion is what sets them apart from HackerRank and other similar sites, you can also view the solutions other users provide for any challenge aside from the official ones. But I don't use it very often so that's why its 3rd and 9/10

Score: 9/10

CodeingBat is another great tool for learning to code! Though it only has java and python challenges. But despite that, if you know any of these languages this should be a great site for you. The challenges are divided by types such as (logic, string, arrays, etc). But because of its less classy looks and lack of languages ill give it 4th and 8/10.

Score: 8/10

Gamedev.net is more for game-devs (duh). The site takes a more of a social media approach where you can post things like videos and tutorials to show off to the community. If you are a game-dev this could be a great option for you! and as a former game-dev, I used to use this site a lot. But because of its abundance of ad's I'll have to place it on 5th.

Score: 8/10

Powplow-create is a weekly python blog that covers many topics like what you are reading right now! It has many tutorial blogs where you can follow along and learn something new. And show-off blogs where you can see cool stuff and learn about how they work!

Score:  /10

Final thoughts

Hope you guys like this new style of blogging! I may or may not keep it up depending on how the response to this one is. So if you did enjoy it make sure to let me know! And if you haven't already you should check out my new freelancing service. And per routine, if you have any thoughts or questions id be happy to answer them. And with that keep on creating and exploring and ill be heading off for now!
